Wheelchair Member and Nominated Driver Requirements

Open to all people with permanent or temporary mobility difficulties, people with physical & sensory disabilities that require them to remain in a wheelchair while being transported.
All members are required to complete our ‘Eligibility Form’.

All nominated drivers are required to complete the Nominated Driver Registration Form and submit copies of the front and back of their driver’s license in advance.
Aged 21-70 years of age
All drivers must hold a full (non-restricted) valid and current national driver’s licence for over 3 years (For all Non-European Union renters whose driver’s licenses are not issued in roman script, an International Driving Permit (IDP) or an official translation is mandatory. The IDP translates the national driver’s licence into various languages and is not accepted without the national licence.)
Have never had an endorsement on your licence
Have never been disqualified from driving. (including for penalty points offences)
Have fully advised Zingly of any disability or medical condition that impairs your ability to drive.
All rentals are subject to fully completed documentation for nominated drivers being submitted (online) and approved (by us) prior to rental car pick-up

Step One: Become a member.

Step two: Nominate your driver.
You’ll know exactly who’d you like to be in the driving seat to feel safe and secure. Every driver just needs to complete the mandatory paperwork and away you go in your wheelchair accessible car rental.

Step Three: Reserve your car.
Fitted with many features like rear wheelchair access via a lightweight ramp, and full wheelchair and passenger restraint systems, our fully wheelchair accessible rental cars are ready to book today. Carers, Organisations, and Individuals can easily self-rent. All our wheelchair accessible cars come fully insured, include breakdown cover, are cost-effective and convenient.
Our Fleet
Zingly has a modern fleet of fully wheelchair accessible cars. You can have manual or automatic the choice is yours. Each car can take 4 Seated (including the driver) plus 1 Wheelchair Passenger.
Dimensions
The Interior Wheelchair passenger compartment area has an approximate clearance height of 140cm & width of 80cm.
Our Rates

Daily: €60 (Monday to Friday only, no daily rental at weekends)
Weekend: €150 Friday afternoon – Monday morning
Bank Holidays: See Specials below
Weekly: €350
4 Week period: €1,200
We provide a 30 minute period of grace for the return of the wheelchair accessible rental car with regard to the agreed time as shown on your Rental Agreement. After this period an extra amount corresponding to at least €60 (one day’s rental) will apply for a late return.

Christmas 2024 special: €550 (€275 deposit payable at booking & balance of €275 payable 31st Oct 2024) – Inclusive rental period 20/12/24 to 02/01/25.

Wheelchair accessible rental cars can be collected and returned to Zingly’s Depots Monday to Friday, 9 am-5 pm.

Our Raheny Depot offers an ideal location within easy reach of the main motorways to Cork, Galway, Limerick and Belfast. It is located within easy reach of Dublin Airport, adjacent to the DART (Harmonstown Dart station is a 5-minute walk from the depot) and 27A bus covers the area.

Swords
Our Swords Depot offers an ideal location within easy reach of the main motorways to Cork, Galway, Limerick and Belfast. It is located within easy reach of Dublin Airport and the Swords Express, 33, 33A, 33B, 41C and 43 buses cover the area.
